Malfunction Name: indoor fan motor does not operate

Gree Cassette AC Error Code:
In case of malfunction (eg bad smell), immediately turn off the power and contact the service center. Do not repair the a/c by yourself. Incorrect repair can cause a fire. Please contact the service center. Equipment should not be used by children without supervision.
Once the failure occurs with the indoor unit in operation, the green unit LED flashes at intervals of 0.5 seconds.
Fault code is subtracted from the number of green LED flash, blocking unit operation. Between one flash cycle and the next one, a pause of 5 seconds ends.
Error code resolution
E1 High Pressure Protection. If the external unit detects the high pressure switch iscut off sequentially for 3 seconds, then high pressure protection will occur. All loads (except 4-way valve in hOT mode) will be switched off. In this climb, all buttons and remote control signals except the ON / OFF button will be disabled and the system will not be automatically recovered. E6 communication malfunction. If the outdoor unit does not receive data from the indoor unit, a communication fault will be reported. If there is a communication abnormality between the display board and the indoor unit, a communication malfunction will be reported.
E8 Low Indoor Airflow. If the indoor unit does not receive a signal from the indoor fan motor for a 30-sec failure to operate the fan motor, an indoor fan malfunction will be reported. E9 Condensate Overflow Protection. If the indoor unit detects condensate overflow switch warning for 8-secsuccessfully, the system will enter overflow protection. The unit will shut down and will not automatically recover. Close the switch unit and then switch it to eliminate this malfunction.
F0 Indoor Ambient Temperature Sensor on ReturnAir Inlet Malfunction. If the indoor unit detects that the indoor ambient temperature sensor is 5-secsuccessfully, the indoor ambient is open-circuit or shortcrit for temp. Sensor malfunction will be reported. Unitech will resume operation automatically after the malfunction disappears. If the indoor ambient temperature sensor malfunction occurs in fan mode, only the error code is displayed and the indoor unit will function normally.
F1 Indoor evaporator coil temperature sensor malfunction. If the indoor unit shows that the evaporator temperature sensor is open circuit or shortcritic for 5 seconds, then the evaporator temperature sensor malfunction will be reported. The unit will automatically restart after the malfunction disappears. If the evaporator temperature sensor malfunction occurs in fan mode, only the error code is displayed and the indoor unit will operate normally.
F2 Indoor condenser coil temperature sensor malfunction. If the external unit detects the condensercoil temperature sensor open circuit or short-circuit for 5-seconds, the condensercoil temperature sensor malfunction will be reported. Uniteon will resume operation automatically after the malfunction disappears. Ifcondrane temperature sensor malfunction occurs in fan mode, only the error code is displayed and the indoor unit will function normally.
F3 outdoor ambient temperature sensor malfunction. If the external unit detects an external ambient temperature sensor open circuit or shortcritic for 5 seconds, a malfunction of the external ambient temperature sensor will be reported. The unit will automatically restart after the malfunction disappears. If the outdoor ambient temperature sensor malfunction occurs in fan mode, only the errorcode is displayed and the indoor unit will function normally.
F4 compressor discharge temperature sensor malfunction. If the outdoor unit detects that the compressor discharge temperature sensor is open-circuit or short-circuit, after the 5-secsuccessfully compressor has been operating for 3-minutes, the outdoor discharge temperature sensor malfunction will be reported. The malfunction disappears when the unitcan resumes automatically.
F5 Wired Controller Temp. Sensor malfunction. If a wired Tether controller detects an open circuit for 5-secsuccess or a short circuit of its temperature sensor, a wired controller temperature sensor malfunction will be reported.
H1 defrost mode. The system is outdoor outdoor.
H3 Compressor Overload Protection. If the external unit opens the compressor overload switch progressively within 3 seconds, the unit will report information overload protection. If the fault occurs 3 times sequentially, the unit will not correct itself. To eliminate this protection shut down the unit or reactivate the unit.
H4 overload protection. If the indoor unit shows that the evaporator temperature exceeds the protective temperature. Price will report unit overload protection. The unit will resume operation after the evaporator temperature is lower than the protective temperature. The value and compressor are stopped for 3 minutes. H6 Outdoor Fan Motor Malfunction. Solution:
- Pour water inside the chassis.

Problem: Overload protection for compressor-overload malfunction
Solution:
- Check if the unit is within the high-temperature, high-humidity environment. If outside temperature or humidity is too high, switch off the unit. Wait until the outside temperature is below 95˚F (35 WaitC).
- Check if the condenser and evaporator are blocked. If yes, delete the items. Turn off the unit.
- Wait for 30 minutes.
- If the code still appears, please contact customer service.
Error Code: E8
Problem: Overload malfunction
Solution:
- Check if the unit is within the high-temperature, high-humidity environment. If outside temperature or humidity is too high, switch off the unit. Wait until the outside temperature is below 95˚F (35 WaitC).

Reason: There are many system functions that will stop the air flow.
Solution: Check for the following:
In heating mode, the indoor fan may not start for three minutes if the room temperature is too low. This is to prevent cold air from flowing.
And in heat mode, if the outdoor temperature is low and humidity is high, the system may need to defrost for 10 minutes before starting the heating cycle.
To dry mode, the indoor fan may stop for three minutes during the compressor shutdown delay.
