Ariston washing machines Error codes
Ariston washing machines Error codes

All error codes starting from F01 to F11 are valid for Indesit and Ariston 2000 washing machines.
Starting from F01 to F12 for the washing machine Indesit – a new series of “development”.
F01 to F15 – For drying washing machines. If your washing machine has only one indicator light (EVO-I control system), the error code is determined by the number of flashes in a cycle after a pause. Thus, if the indicator flashes eight times, then stops, then 8 times and then means that this error code is F08, similarly to other errors. The decoding of codes is the same for washing machines Indesit and other series of Ariston Ariston washing machines Error codes.

Error Code Error Code Interpretation Washing Machine Potential Malfunction

F01 short circuit in control circuit of CM drive motor
Check the connection of the washing machine’s electronic module
Check for the presence of contacts and water.
Check the motor wire connection for mechanical damage to the wire breakage.
Replace electronic (pcb) module of the washing machine

F02 The signal from the taco sensor about the rotation of the drive motor is not fed to the electronic pcb controller
Check the contacts of the CNE connector on the electronic module of the washing machine
Tighten motor connection terminals.
Check the connection between the motor and the electronic module.
Call motor winding.
Ring the tachometer winding.
Change the module.

F03 temperature sensor is faulty, or the heater water heater relay is “hot”
Check the contacts wire of the CAN connector on the electronic(pcb) module.
Check temperature sensor wiring.
Check the integrity of the wires from the sensor to the connector.
Replace sensor or module.

F04 Water level sensor (pressure switch) is faulty The water level sensor simultaneously generates the “FAN” and “EMPTY TANK” signals (although only “EMPTY TANK” should be generated). In this case, water is poured into the CM tank at the level of the “tank”. As a result, it turns out that at the same time the bay is turned on (water inlet valves are open) and water drain (drain pump is on). in this matter:
Check the connection between the electronic (pcb) controller and the level sensor, as well as the sensor.
If the actions listed do not reveal a faulty element, level sensor, and electronic controller

F05 drain pump does not work or does not generate “EMPTY TANK” signal after level sensor discharge mode
Check the reliability of the connection between the electronic controller and drain pump.
At the time of perceived activation of the drain pump, check for the presence of mains voltage at its contacts.
If it does not, check the pump itself (220 V supplied), its connector, and an electronic controller.
Check the water level sensor, as well as its connection to the electronic (pcb)controller.
Check the filter and drain hose for clogs.
Successfully replace pump, prestorat, electronic controller.

F06 Washing Machine Display Button Error
Check for the presence of a contact in the connectors and harness between the controller and the control panel.
Check the serviceability of the button on the control panel.
Successfully replace the control panel and electronic controller.

F07 water heater is not immersed in water
For CMs with EVO-II controllers:
Check the connection between the pins of the connector and the electronic (PCB) controller and level sensor.
Check the level sensor Status.
Measure the serviceability of the heater by measuring its resistance (between terminals 5 and 6 of connector J3): for example, for an 1800 watt TEC, it should be about 25 ohms.
Successfully replace heater, level sensor and electronic controller.
For SM with EVO-I controllers:
Check for the presence of wiring and contact in the controller’s CM1 connector.
Check the relay TEN on the controller.
Replace the electronic controller.

The heater of the washing machine (Т8Н) in the F08 breakdown or level sensor is stuck in the “full” position.
Check the contacts of the CN1 connector on the module.
Recover contacts on heater.
Reconnect the level sensor.
Replace heater or level sensor or module

F09 Memory non-volatile EEPROM failure (material error) Replace the electronic controller or replace / overwrite the NVRAM.

F10 There are no signals from the level sensor (the tank is not empty, but not full)
For CMs with EVO-II controllers:
Check the reliability of the connection between the contacts of the electronic controller connector I and the level sensor.
Check level sensor: closed contact. States 2–4 in connector J3 contact “EMPTY TANK”. 2-3 – “full tank”, contact. 2-1 – Transfer.
Level sensors and electronic controllers are changed sequentially.
For SM with EVO-I controllers:
Check for the presence of contact in the CM connector on the electronic controller.
Check the integrity of the level sensor, as well as the integrity of the wiring from the electronic controller.
Replace the electronic controller.

F11 No response from washing machine drain pump
For CMs with EVO-II controllers:
Check the reliability of the connection to the contact. 8 and 9 of J9 for electronic controllers and drain pumps (or if SM has an easy door function from terminals 1 and 2 of J15).
Check serviceability of drain pump. Its winding resistance should be around 170 0 m.
Successfully replace drain pump and electronic controller.
For SM with EVO-I controllers:
Check the  CN1 and CNF connectors on the electronic (pcb) controller.
Check the status of the level sensor and drain pump.

F12 There is no communication between the signal module and the electronic controller
For CMs with EVO-II controllers:
Check the integrity of the connection between the electronic controller and the J11 connector of the signal module.
The electronic controller and signal module are successfully replaced.
For SM with EVO-I controllers:
Check the electronic controller’s SMS connectors.
Other actions are same as above

F13 The temperature sensor is disconnected from the drying system
Check the CAN connector on the module.
Check the integrity of the wiring for the drying temperature sensor.
Replace the temperature sensor or module.

F14 does not start drying (with CM drying for “Margarita 2000”, EVO-I controller)
Check the connection between the electronic controller and the drying heater.
Check TEN drying and electronic controller (replacement).

F15 washing machine does not stop drying
Check that the CN1 connector on the backplane is connected correctly.
Tighten the connector.
Check the connection of the level sensor.
Replace the connector.
Change level sensor.
Change the connection board.

F16 The chain of the washing machine door locking system is open or no electricity is provided
Check for the presence of mains voltage (220 V) between pins 3 and 4 of the J4 connector and contact between the electronic controller (not in STANDBY mode only). 3 and 5 lock of doors.
Check the activation of the micro switch of the door lock (with the door closed) on the contact. 1 and 2 of the J4 connector of the electronic controller.
Check the reliability of locking the hatch door.
replace the door lock and electronic controller.

F17 The manhole door is not closed or open (without easy door function for CM, EVO-II controller)
Verify the presence of an alternating voltage of 220 V between 1 and 3 of connector M and pins of the electronic controller (not in STANDBY mode only) and between contacts. 1 and 3 of the door lock.
Check the reliability of locking the hatch door.
replace the door lock and electronic (pcb) controller

F18 microprocessor error electronic (pcb) controller change
