Chelsea vs Wolves injury updates
Wasley Fafana During his pre-game news conference prior to playing Wolves, Graham Potter had this to say regarding the defender who hobbled off during the first half of our victory over AC Milan.
It’s nice that Wesley’s knee isn’t as severe as we feared after the game since it was a concern at the time, but I think it will still be a few weeks. He will undoubtedly be away for a few weeks, but it’s far better than it might be,’ he said.
Since it’s only a knee injury, there’s a chance he might play before the World Cup. There’s a chance, but I don’t want to put too much of a timeframe on it; it depends on how his rehabilitation goes.
Potter talked about N’Golo Kante and the need for patience as he makes a comeback on Friday even though the Frenchman was not included in the matchday squad.
He is integrating himself more and more into the group. Even if he’s still not prepared, he’s getting near.
“It is what it is; there is nothing we can do; the injury occurred. Now, our goal is to get him back in shape and as prepared as we can so he can play for an extended length of time.
He has had injuries for a while, so we need to make sure that when he returns, he will be healthy, strong, and ready to play football. Therefore, I don’t feel frustrated; it’s just Somthing we have to deal with;
Chelsea vs Wolves press conference
Graham Potter said that while he is happy with the advancements his squad has made in his first month as Chelsea’s head coach, he is still just taking each match as it comes and not planning too far ahead during this hectic period leading up to the World Cup.
‘I think we’ve made some progress from my first day to today, as you would hope and anticipate,’ she said. However, there is still a ways to go, thus I believe the key is to concentrate just on the up coming game. That’s all there is to it.
We have an extraordinary number of games left to play, so we won’t worry too much about what will happen at the conclusion of the season and will instead concentrate on the game at hand.
