Carolyn Flack, the television celebrity and former host of ITV’s “Love Island” and other UK shows, died in London on Saturday. She was 40.

The Associated Press confirmed her death, citing a statement from her family. A family lawyer said she died by suicide and was found in her home.

In 2015, Ms. Flack began hosting a British dating-reality show, “Love Island”, on which the public voted her least favorite “Islanders” until a couple lived.

According to reports from The Guardian, she was replaced in December after being accused of assaulting her boyfriend.

ITV broadcast the show on Twitter, saying, “Caroline was a very favorite member of the ‘Love Island’ team and our sincere thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends.”

Laura Whitmore, who replaced Ms. Flack as the show’s host, said on Twitter that she is “trying to find the words, but I can’t.”

Ms. Flack’s management agency and team were not immediately available for comment on Saturday.

Ms. Flack was no stranger to reality television.

In 2014, she won “Strictly Come Dancing” with her dance partner Pasha Kovalev and also hosted several other shows including “I’m a Celebrity” … Get Me Out of Here! now! “And” additional factors, “according to ITV.

Ms. Flack, who had many famous companions including Prince Harry and Harry Styles, was a fixture in the British tabloids. He had to deal with constant pricks and constant criticism.

In a 2019 Instagram post, Ms. Flack wrote that she was a “really weird place” and that it was difficult to talk about. She said that when she reached out to someone to talk about her feelings, they called her “drainage”.

“I think that’s why some people keep their feelings on themselves,” she said. “I definitely hate talking about my feelings. And being burdened is my biggest fear.”

Ms Flack said she was “lucky” to be able to choose herself, but if no one could.

“Be nice to the people,” he continued. “You never know what’s going on. Ever.”

While “Love Island” is a wildly popular show in Britain, it has raised mental health issues.
